Telecom equipment supplier Ericsson and Chinese smartphone maker Transsion have reached a settlement that resolves the companies' dispute over a multi-year global cross-licensing patent agreement. All ongoing legal proceedings and administrative matters between the companies in several countries will be withdrawn.

Ericsson expects the financial impact of the settlement to start showing from the third quarter of 2026 and continues to see potential to increase revenue from intellectual property rights.
