STORY: Porsche delivered 10% fewer vehicles globally last year.

The luxury carmaker delivered close to 280,000 vehicles - down from almost 311,000 a year before.

Sales fell in China by more than a quarter.

Porsche blamed that on difficult market conditions in the luxury segment and intense competition for fully electric models.

Sales also fell domestically and were down 16% in Germany.

They further slipped 13% in the rest of Europe.

Porsche blamed the fall in Europe on supply gaps for combustion engine models due to EU cybersecurity rules.

The new regulations meant the ICE model of the Macan wasn't available anymore last year.

However, Porsche outperformed German rivals Mercedes and Audi in the North American market - where sales were flat.
