Amit Rakhit

Amit Rakhit is currently an Advisor at The New York City Investment Fund Manager, Inc. He previously held positions as the Chief Executive Officer at Sporos Bioventures, Inc., President & Chief Executive Officer at Flare Therapeutics, Inc., Director at Asylia Therapeutics, Inc., and Director at Stellanova Therapeutics, Inc. Prior to his roles in the biotech industry, he worked as the Vice President-Intercontinental Medical at Bristol Myers Squibb Co. from 2001 to 2011 and as the Senior Vice President at Biogen, Inc. from 2014 to 2016.
Dr. Rakhit also served as the President of Ovid Therapeutics, Inc. from 2019 to 2021.
He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991 and holds MBA degrees from both London Business School and Columbia Business School, which he earned in 2010.
Additionally, he received a graduate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2003 and a doctorate degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1995.
