Before joining Harbert in 2002, Mr. Uhrin was employed by BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he served as Vice President of Corporate Development.
While there, he managed in- and out-licensing of products and technologies to execute research, discovery functions, and commercialization strategies; he coordinated contractual arrangements with corporate partners, and developed and maintained relationships with the biotech industry and academic research institutions.
He was also employed with Genentech, Inc. as Director of Special Markets/Managed Care, where he directed a multi-state domestic and international region, focusing on managed care organizations, insurance companies, HMO's, and Integrated Networks.
Before joining Genentech, Mr. Uhrin spent ten years at Eli Lilly & Company.
Mr. Uhrin received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
