Robert Tomei

Mr. Robert Tomei was previously Chairman at Advanced Capital SGR SpA. He is the Founder of the firm and previously Mr. Tomei was the Chief Executive Officer until February 2013.
is responsible for the evaluation and approval of every Group investment, overseeing operations in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Secondary and Debt Strategy partnerships.
Some of his investments include partnerships with NEA, ACCEL, Blackstone, BC Partners, Whitney, Summit, TPG, Bain, Cerberus and Matlin Patterson.
Prior to that, Mr. Tomei worked at Merrill Lynch International as an Advisor on alternative investments and private placements.
He began his career in the financial industry in New York in 1993 at Kidder Peabody’s International Department of Fixed Income as Institutional Advisor on structured finance, before transferring to London with the same company.
Mr. Tomei received his degree in Logic and Analytical Studies from St. Bonaventure University and pursued his graduate studies in the same fields at both Yale and Columbia Universities.
