Mr. William P.
McMahon is a Chief Investment Officer of Active Strategies at Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. He is responsible for investment management, research, and portfolio construction for Schwab Asset Management’s active strategies and solutions.
He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to his current role, Mr. McMahon was an Senior Vice President in Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. (CSIA), serving as Chief Investment Officer and as a member of the portfolio management team for the ThomasPartners Strategies.
He co-founded ThomasPartners, Inc. in 2001 and served as Partner of the firm until its acquisition by the Charles Schwab Corporation in 2012 and subsequent merger with CSIA in 2018.
Mr. McMahon began his career at State Street Corporation, with the latter half of his tenure with State Street Global Advisors.
He earned a Master of Business Administration from Bentley College (now known as Bentley University) and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Stonehill College.
He is a CFA charterholder.
