Klaus Fiebig

Dr. Klaus Fiebig is Chief Scientific Officer & VP-Research Programs at Ontario Genomics Institute (Private Equity).
Dr. Fiebig joined OGI in February 2006.
Most recently, Dr. Fiebig was Senior Director of Structural Biology and Computational Chemistry at Affinium Pharmaceuticals in Toronto, where he directed a 20-person strategic alliance with Pfizer that focused on structural proteomics and structure-based drug discovery.
Previously, Dr. Fiebig co-founded and was CEO of MRPharm (Frankfurt), which focused on NMR-based drug discovery.
His academic team at the University of Frankfurt worked on drug discovery with Aventis.
Dr. Fiebig was also a lead scientist with Xencor (Los Angeles), improving its automatic computational platform for designing proteins.
Dr. Fiebig received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California at San Francisco and his undergraduate degree in Physics from the Technical University Munich.
With fellowships from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, he completed postdoctoral research in protein folding at the University of Oxford and work in structural biology at Yale University.
