Hamad Mohammed Al-Hurr Al-Suwaidi

Mr. Hamad Mohammed Al-Hurr Al-Suwaidi is Chairman at Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC and Undersecretary-Finance at Government of Abu Dhabi.
He is on the Board of Directors at Mubadala Development Co. PJSC, International Petroleum Investment Co., Emirates Telecommunications Corp., Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Emirates Securities And Commodities Authority, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, and Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
In 2004 His Excellency Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi was appointed as a member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Undersecretary of the Department of Finance (DoF).
Prior to his appointment, he was holding the position of Assistant Undersecretary at DoF since 1996.
His strategic vision and foresight has played an effective role in involving the Private Sector within the Emriate’s Economic Growth and activating the Public-Private Partnership through his involvement in the board of several high-profile companies including but not limited to: The Supreme Petroleum Council, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Mubadala, Etisalat, Securities and Commodities Authority, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, International Petroleum Investments Company and Chairmanship of Taqa.
His versatile work experience, breadth of knowledge and leadership abilities in managing strategic and financial tasks has energized the implementation of international best practices at the Department of Finance to become one of the most dynamic organizations that contribute to the execution of Abu Dhabi Emirate’s Strategic Plan, although develop the Financial System and Framework.
He received his undergraduate degree from the Dominican University of California and an MBA from California State University-San Bernardino.
